- What is the difference between BMR and TDEE?
- BMR is the calories burned doing absolutely nothing — just existing. TDEE adds all physical activity. TDEE is the number that matters for nutrition planning; BMR is only a component of it.
- Is it safe to eat below 1,200 or 1,500 calories?
- For most people, eating below 1,200 calories (women) or 1,500 calories (men) is considered a Very Low Calorie Diet (VLCD) and should only be done under medical supervision. - When should I use the Katch-McArdle formula?
